[Discuss] Installing LINUX OS on USB Stick or external USB HD

Just my two cents
Just install whatever you want to the pen drive, make sure grub goes in 
the pen drive as well. Then go into your bios and set your pen drive as 
the first boot option. This way, whenever the pen drive is plugged in, 
your computer will pull grub from it. Whenever it's not plugged in, it 
will try to boot from the harddrive and the result of that will depend 
on whatever is on the drive.
Your question is a bit ambigious, you're saying "(showing only the the 
one on the HD)" and then " not show anything about it on the HD on my 
computer"
So I hope I got it right.
