[Discuss] recover files and foldes from USB pendrive?

Hello Murray,

First off use 'dd' to copy the complete USB stick to a file.

Make an archive copy of that file again as a backup and put it away for
safe keeping.

Now you have your USB stick in a file, and you have a backup copy
in another file just in case. You can start working on the image of
the USB stick.

Mount a working copy of the file as a loop file system and try
different file system tools on it.

If you can't figure it out. Post the file somewhere and get someone
more attuned to file recovery tools to download it and extract things
from it.
