Sorry. You're not getting into X so you obviously cant do that.
In your user directory try renaming ~.kde
to something else like ~.kde.backup
Then restart X (perhaps by rebooting).
KDE should then recreate a default ~.kde
file system for your user profile.
The other option is to:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall xserver-xorg
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
