However, anyone who downloaded the ISO and then checked the md5 checksum would have known  there was a problem.

Interesting.

So how can we be sure of the other distros?

I guess it's still less exposure of privacy to use most linux distros.

The question is, what's better?; the NSA get your info, Walmart, or
hackers?

Or are  hackers just the mafia version of Walmart
and invasive government now?
