[Discuss] Mounting USB drives

If the Linux automounter is like either of the two FreeBSD automounters 
(automountd or amd), then it should be able to mount for you at first use 
and unmount a number of minutes later (IIRC, six minutes of non-use).

And, no, there is no fstab trick. fstab is used by rc scripts and the mount 
command.
