Sorry for reactivating that old thread, but I thought other may be
interested as well:
Shaw was the only one who was able to set the service up immediately. So
Shaw it was. The cost for the 150 Mbit/s plan was not $50 but $60 per
month, which makes $67.20 plus tax.
The small print of their latest invoice, however, informs of a price
increase (!):
"Starting June 1, 2018, the regular prices for your Shaw services
increased by $5.00, plus applicable taxes. If you are on a promotional
offer or 2-year ValuePlan with a price guarantee, this increase does not
affect the monthly fees for your base services until the promotional
period or 2-year ValuePlan term ends. Any Theme Packs or add-ons may be
subject to an increase."
I haven't yet figured out if I have a "price guarantee" - if not, I
intend to switch to Vmedia.
