I assume the answer is yes, and that idea would therefore be a good
workaround for a slow but relentless memory leak for some application
you could not avoid using.
However, under present conditions (especially use of the noscript
extension to firefox which avoids much opportunity for javascript
memory leaks (as well as Spectre attacks which was our original
motivation to use noscript) it turns out we have no noticeable memory
leaks which strengthens the case for us not buying an SSD for our new
"dream machine".
