[Discuss] After many years with KDE, I am about to move on to XFCE

Alan,
 if you really liked the old KDE (which I've been using, off and on, since the second Beta of version 1), you might like to give TDE (Trinity Desktop Environment) a try.

I generally like XFCE but have had a few problems over the years. TDE is in the debian and ubuntu repositories, but it is the default desktop for Q4OS, a very lightweight distro which I put on my ancient (c2010?) netbook, where it runs very well.
