[Discuss] CUPS PPD files and printing

Hi all,

It has been a long while since I have played with PPD files. I bought a new
printer that is a Brother HL-L2360DN (a duplex printer).

Can't get it to print duplex from my Chromebook (using the built in CUPS,
as there is no printer selection for this printer). I can get it to print
using another printer selection (HL-2170W) but only single sided.

So I extracted Brother's PPD file for the HL-L2360DN on my debian machine,
but when I try to load it into the printer dialog on ChromeOS, it rejects
it saying it is bad format.

I have looked at the PPD file (it just text, after all) and see nothing
glaringly wrong.

Anyone a CUPS printing expert? Any suggestions for duplex printing on
ChomeOS?

TIA,

Craig...
