[Discuss] Dracut and fstab

Hello,

I am netbooting and want to use the fstab file that points to the shared nfs file system. The system boots using the fstab included in initramfs image. The problem arrises with the nfs driver modules. 

It seems that dracut removes the nfs driver if fstab is added to the ramfs image. If the drivers are added back then fstab is removed from the image.

Love / hate dracut. 

Am I overthinking this? Should I just mkinitrd with network options? I am booting redhat but over ib_ipoib. It’s running up my ramdisk so I assume the network is up, except thats PXE side of things. The ib and nfs drivers still need to load for the os, prior to mounting the shared file system.

All the online documentation seems to predate dracut.
