On Debian you can configure apt to pin packages at certain versions so
I assume (with some research) you will be able to figure out how to do
the same thing with your Fedora package manager.

My google search did find one reference for you that might help get you started
which is <https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/403181/how-to-pin-a-package-in-dnf-fedora>.
But I am not sure what dnf is so it may not be relevant to you.
