Hi Craig,Once I get logged, the keyboard is fine.  If I boot in Rescue mode and go to a root console, again the keyboard is fine.  It is only on the grub splash screen where I log in that the keyboard mapping is wrong.Murray

Having your keys remapped on your is always a surprise (like Pi's when they initially boot up with a UK keyboard).

At the login prompt, instead of trying to login to my account at first, I selected "other". I typed my password into the place where you would normally put another user name. Once I had the correct password in that location, I copied it, then selected my account to login and pasted the password from above. This worked. Why is the keyboard layout wrong on Boot? And how can I fix it? I can live with it the way it is, but it is annoying and I am very curious to know why this happened.

Another problem after my updates: WiFi no longer works. My wireless adapter is:
Broadcom BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)
I am not too surprised by this. I took a chance and updated to LUbuntu 21.04 (and it is not even the Beta version yet) so I can expect bugs. Since I am not travelling I am not using this computer. It is the ideal size for air travel, but a bit slow (especially Windows 10) for daily use). I would not be using WiFi an an airline anyway, and maybe they will fix it. Other than that, I have had no problems with it so far.
