[Discuss] Assistance Needed to Contact APCUG Linux Group/Users

John Kennedy is the APCUG Advisor for Regions 3 and 6.  He is also the host for APCUG’s Wednesday Workshops.  At the same time he is the coordinator of the Learning Linux Workshops.  I could help with MATE if he cannot find anyone else, but I don't use Gnome (I have not really liked it whenever I have given it a try).  If any of you would like to help him with a presentation, please respond to him directly (with a copy to me). He wrote:I am looking for a few Linux users to help out in our next Learning Linux workshop on April 21st.  One of the presenters is no longer able to take part on that day due to job requirements, so I am looking for some replacements.  The topic for the upcoming workshop is “Customizing the Linux Desktop”.  We want to show people how you can customize Linux to meet your needs, likes, and workflow.  This would be about a 30 minute “show and tell” type presentation.What I need is some users that run either the Gnome Desktop or the MATE Desktop.  We already have two people that will be demonstrating the KDE Desktop and the Xfce Desktop.  I would like to include Gnome and MATE as they are included in the top 5 desktops people use.  There are some others and I would consider them if I can’t find someone to do Gnome and MATE.If you have someone in your Linux group that would be interested in demonstrating either Gnome or MATE, would you please have them get in touch with me using my APCUG address: jkennedy at apcug.org as soon as possible.I really appreciate your help in this urgent request.
