[Discuss] OpenWRT changing password -- again

After I changed my 2.4G pass key back to the original (weak) one, things were working again. When I had changed the pass key to the same one as my 5G (which has a different name), I could no longer connect.

I decided to try again with a different strong one using luci. I checked /etc/config/wireless and it shows the new one there. If I try to log in using the new one, it says "Incorrect password for {2.4G LAN}". I tried rebooting, but it still does not work. On the devices that I am using to login, I have tried forgetting the network and rebooting them but still get "incorrect password" messages.

If I change it back again to the original one, it works again. There must be some other place that has to be changed to get the new password to work. Where would that be?

Any other ideas? I suppose I could try changing the name of that network to something completely different. Or I may just have to live with the weak passkey/phrase on the 2.4G network, but that should not be necessary. I am using WPA2-PSK (strong security) encryption, which I have not changed.

Thanks for any other suggestions.

Murray
