Hello all --
I'm trying to install the g++ compiler on Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS, and I get
the following:
$ sudo apt-get install g++
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or
been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help resolve
the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libc6-dev : Depends: libc6 (= 2.35-0ubuntu3) but 2.35-0ubuntu3.1 is to
be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
Running
$ dpkg --get-selections | grep hold
returns me nothing at all. I am new to Linux, so I have no idea what to
do next.
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
Regards,
-- Bernie.
