For Windows 7 C drive, it must be a clone as copying won't work. I have read in a couple of places that this does not work for Windows 7, 8 or 9.<br><span>I did find another way to do it using free Macrium Reflect. The cloned drive did work until I tried resizing the partitions (since I was moving it to a larger drive) with GParted. I probably goofed there. Anyway, I found that Macrium can resize the partitions while it is cloning so am trying it again that way. Macrium is a lot faster than dd or dcfldd (neither of which seem to work on this computer for some reason that I do not understand, nor have I been able to find any answer by internet searches) as it does not copy unused sectors.</span><br><br><span>I also found that the "bootable" Macrium USB memory drive that was created will not boot on my son's computer.
