<div dir="ltr">I had a Dell Inspiron 15" laptop with that error. The problem was not the OS. The problem was the disk controller on the main board. A working SATA drive was attached and it wasn't recognized. I think it is the BIOS talking to me - this is the wording of the <br>
message:<br>
"No bootable devices --<br>
strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility. Press F5 to run onboard <br>
diagnostics."<br>

F2 and F5 lead to the same "Aptio Setup Utility", which looks like your <br>
typical BIOS set up.<br>

It gives me a choice: "UEFI" and "Legacy" - currently set to "Legacy" <br>

Thanks for the notes! Let me first try to fix the problem by following <br>
up on the boot flag and "secure boot" questions and then I'd like to try <br>
