<p>Don't run the two different radios with the _same_ SSID, and
different passwords. That is a recipe for disaster. Either:</p>
<ol><li>Make the SSIDs and passwords the same, and don't care which
one you connect to OR</li><li>Make the SSIDs different, and different passwords (this is
what I do).<br>

<p>BTW, don't change SSIDs config that you are attached to (that is
your laptop is using wireless while reconfiguring the wireless on
the router). That is like sawing the branch that you are sitting
on. When I configure wireless, I either: A) plug in Ethernet to
the router, or B) connect to a different router (and SSID) which
is connected to the router I am configuring by Ethernet.<br>

the config file. I was then able to login on several devices,

I find, when encountering weirdness in openwrt after config
changes, that a reboot will fix things. Have you tried
