This is incorrect. VBox has nothing to do with Java.

It's a great tool. I'm running various Linux, FreeBSD, and Windows on it 
with no problems.

Java doesn't interact directly with any kernel.

If your Linux system locks up while using Java then you have more problems 
than just java.

The failing of java is that it's a huge security hole.
