Umm...  I wonder if some spammers have guessed his email
password, and started using the hijacked account to send more
spam.  That kind of thing would justify locking a person's email
account [even if it's not their fault; at least it prevents
further *outgoing* spam, if not incoming].

But Gordon, if your email account is locked-down, how did you
send the message that started this thread?
