[Discuss] malware cleaner for Linux? Any ideas which one and how to use?

Gordon, I think you may be confusing malware with spam. Malware 
including viruses are harmful programs that you may have inadvertently 
acquired by clicking to download and installing or by opening 
attachments etc. but they don't normally affect Linux unless someone has 
your password or access to your computer. Have you been installing 
programs from somewhere other than your repository? ie from somewhere 
other than LinuxMint if you are still using that distro?

Spam is just a term referring to unwanted email which is annoying but 
not harmful as such. Anti-virus cleaning programs will not fix this problem!

You still need to find out WHY Shaw locked your account. Also you still 
haven't answered Patrick's question "How are you sending emails if your 
account is locked"????
