[Discuss] Strange behaviour in recent new install of Ubuntu 15.10

Because I was unable to get the Settings to work, I reinstalled Ubuntu
15.10.
I can no longer mount my FreeNAS LINUX share on this computer (it works
on all others). When I do:
sudo mount {IP of my FreeNAS box}:/{location of my LINUX share} /{place
where I want to mount it}
nothing happens -- it just sits there.
It works OK on all of my other computers.
Most times, I have had to go to Advanced options and do Upstart to get
it to load.
When I first start, I get a message saying I cannot load the display
profile.
When I change from one Workspace to another (i.e. virtual desktop in
some distributions) when running the KDE Plasma desktop interface,
windows from the last workspace still persist, though clicking on them
does nothing.
The "Find Files" in Konqueror "Tools" no longer works, though it works
on my other computers with the same version. It works OK in Dolphin.
Thanks for any suggestions to fix these problems.
Murray
