[Discuss] UPS Service using NUT

I have purchased a CyberPower UPS, and have successfully connected it to 
my FreeNAS server UPS Service as Master (though it took me a long time 
to find the correct driver, which is: Cyber Power Systems ups 3 CP 1500C 
USB (usbhid-ups)
I have installed NUT client on my Ubuntu computer, but when I try to 
connect to the FreeNAS service, I get
Error connecting to '{FreeNAS ISP}' ([Errno 111] Connection refused)

In NUT Monitor on the Ubuntu machine, I entered my FreeNAS IP in Host 
and 3493 in Port.
I checked "Use authentication"
I entered the Login/Password as set up in my UPS Service on the FreeNAS 
system. Device and Connect boxes are greyed out.

I have spent several hours searching the net to try to find out what I 
might be doing wrong, to no avail.

Can anyone on the VLUG list give me any suggestions?
