[Discuss] arch linux

Hello list,

After using debian for almost 8 years for my own laptop, I have gained 
some interest on arch.
Obviously for personal laptop and not for the servers I manage.

I have done some fair amount of study on this week-end and explore 
pacman, rolling-release etc..
All sounds good and then suddenly I read some posts that arch is missing 
debian way .conf file management. Also no conflict notification as 
apt-get provides. Hence I'm a bit confused.

It would be better if any arch user help me out to understand it better. 
I am curious to try arch for my laptop without which I'm blind at my 
office/home. Hence I am concern :-)
