Hi Craig:

I assume you meant APC rather than APS, but could you confirm that?
And for the benefit of others here can you give exact model number and
the approximate year that is was sold new?

I am not interested myself because I still have two APC UPS's from 22
and 16 years ago (called Back-UPS's back then) that I am still using
without issues.  However, if you are giving away one of those golden
oldies, I would advise others here to give them a try since the only
maintenance I have ever done with my two UPS's is a battery
replacement which typically was once every 5 years or so for each UPS.
And I think one of the reasons my last computer lasted 10.5 years was
I protected that equipment with a UPS so the periodic investment in a
battery (which cost only $66 the last time I went through a UPS
battery replacement at Victoria Battery Limited/ DBA Canadian Energy
located at 791 Cave Street) seems well worth it.
