I guess some people like the semantic desktop, but I have never used
it since I like the combination of the find and grep command-line
tools for searching files for information.  Furthermore, KDE4 does
cater to my needs by allowing me to turn most/all of the semantic
desktop off in a straightforward way.  So on the assumption that KDE
user freedom continues, then I don't care if KDE5 also has a semantic
desktop implementation, and I don't quite understand your objection to
a KDE feature that you can turn off if you don't like it.
