Good day vlug.

Looking for recommendations on Linux (Ubuntu in particular) experienced folks who I can bring my PC into. Fair hourly rate and knowledgeable.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Subject: Ubuntu start-up (weird) issues - BIOS settings perhaps?

Hey folks,

New member here... Thanks in advance for your help. I've tried to summarize as best I could:

Issue:

Turn on power button. Initial start sequence sounds good, but screen still shows black (no bios view)

Turn power button off.

Now comes the weird part - turn the power source off, then on…push front power button on, and things startup as expected.

Restart PC immediately, no problem (starts as expected).

Turn off PC, wait 24 hours, then the initial problem starts all over again…

Specs:

  *   Gigabyte B450 (Aorus M AM4)
  *   AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  *   Ubuntu 20.04

  1. Any help on this (settings suggestions..thinking BIOS config..) is greatly appreciated
  2. Any suggestions on local Victoria Linux support shops who could help here - please suggest

Thanks,

Ryley
